Honda's Compact SUV names Vezel, unveiled at Tokyo Motor Show

Honda's Compact SUV is now unveiled at Tokyo Motor Show 2013 and will be called as Vezel. The new Jazz-based crossover sports a very clean styling, strong character lines and a hidden rear door handle that gives a coupe-like profile.

The new Compact SUV's basic design comes from CR-V however Vezel looks much more modern with characteristic line split all over the body. The Vezel shown in Japan was a hybrid model, though Honda say that a traditional petrol variant will also be introduced. Honda will launch the car with 2WD and 4WD systems.

Features used on the Jazz such as the center-tank layout and the highly configurable Magic Seat setup that also provides a flat floor for highest cargo capacity, has funneled here as well.

The new Urban SUV will be launched in Europe during 2015, with the name of the European model being confirmed nearer to launch. The launch date for Indian market has yet not been finalized but we expect the same to be displayed at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo and launch by the end of year 2014.
