Atul Auto unveils Diesel run Auto rickshaw

The Gujarat based Auto maker - Atul Auto unveiled their first Diesel based auto rickshaw called Gemini DZ. The Gemini DZ will be powered by a 395 cc four stroke diesel engine, and the top executives at Atul Auto said the vehicle will be first launched in Kerala as this being the biggest market for three wheelers in India.

Atul Auto which has 18 percent market share in three wheeler market is significantly trying to capture a more share of the pie by making new products and increasing the capacity at its existing unit. The capacity of its plant in Rajkot has been enhanced to 48,000 in view of expansion projects on the anvil.

Apart from comfortable commuter and luggage space, attractive interior with a stylish dashboard and dual tone upholstery are some of the special features of the vehicle, they said.

"Gemini DZ combines all performance parameters like pickup, fuel efficiencey, reliability and safety," said Paul Zacharia, vice-president, marketing.

Atul Auto would be by mid-year coming out with an all-fuel version of the vehicle which could be run on petrol, CNG and LPG, they said.
