Honda's Amaze sedan was launched in India on 11th April 2013 and with this, Honda launched their much awaited i-Dtec engine in India. The amazingly amazing 1.5L 100PS engine is a perfect combination of maximum power, maximum mileage engine. The engine claims an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 25.8 Kmpl.
As per the sales figures of Honda in May 2013, Amaze sold 6,036 units in May, which contributes to 53% of the total Honda sales in India during the month. Honda's total sales stood at 11,342. The Japanese carmaker also exported 736 units of Brio thereby taking total Honda sales during month to 12,080 units.
The car sold 4,800+ units in April 2013 and also another 2200+ units were dispached to dealers in March 2013. Thereby taking total Amaze sales to 13,000+ units in 7 weeks of launch - a reason of joy for any automaker it would be !
