2013 Tata Nano launched - Gets updated music system , Easy steer technology




As we told you this morning, Tata Nano, Indigo eCS and Sumo Gold facelift would be launched today. Here we are with complete details on the new cars with updated features.

Tata Motors make lot of changes to the interiors and exteriors of all these cars to give them a new look. The new Tata Nano features the below mentioned changes -

  • Chrome strip on front lip
  • Chrome strip on rear bumper
  • New bumper gets additional grill to let engine cool more efficiently
  • The Blue color, with image above is new as well
  • A new Amphistream music system has been installed
  • Music system includes Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in support.
  • Rear parcel shelf comes with integrated speakers
  • Easy Steer Technology (Not a Power Steering though)
  • Tweaked suspension for easily steering the car
  • Nano E-Max, CNG variant of Nano also to be introduced soon
  • New fabric on seats and new glovebox seen
  • Readjusted gear lever and power window switches
The changes on Indigo eCS include even to the powertrain as well apart from improved interiors and exteriors. The new car is powered by a CR4 diesel engine max torque of 140 Nm at 1800-3000 rpm with  fuel efficiency of 25 kmpl (ARAI certified). Advanced F-Shift Gear box and new Duo Float Suspension improve drive quality of the new Indigo eCS. NVH package ensures external noise cancellation, and a quiet drive are also a part of package in new Indigo eCS.

In all total, 8 new vehicles will be launched by Tata Motors in this year. These include Tata Indigo eCS, Tata Sumo Gold, Tata Nano, Tata Indica, Tata Indica CNG, Tata Indigo CNG and Tata Nano CNG, and Explorer Edition of Tata Safari Storme.
