Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra today said production at its Igatpuri plant has been affected due to a tool down strike by workers.
"There has been a stoppage of work at the company's Igatpuri plant due to a tool down strike by the Union," the company said in a filing to BSE.
This is post the suspension of two workmen on disciplinary grounds one of them being an union office bearer, it added.
The Igatpuri plant in Maharashtra manufactures automotive engines for its different vehicles. This is the second instance of labour unrest in as many months for the company. Earlier in March, workers at its Nashik plant had struck work for a week. M&M scrip closed at Rs 837.30, down 0.13 per cent from the previous close, on the BSE.
