Mercedes Benz A Class to be disclosed privately on 4th May and official launch on 30th May 2013

Mercedes Benz new latest launch could come as A Class, which will sit below the last year launched B Class Luxury hatchback in India. As per the sources, the new hatchback will be showcased to exisiting Mercedes dealers, High net worth clients and exisiting mercedes car owners on 04th May 2013 privately. As per the sources, the new sports hatchback will officially be launched on 30th May 2013.

The new sports hatcback should sit below price tag of INR 20 Lac in India. During initial stages, the German carmaker plans to import CBU in India however later plans to manufacture both A and B Class hatchbacks at their Chakan facility in Pune.

The Mercedes Benz A-Class sports hatchback will be available with two engine options, a 1.6 Liter petrol motor and a 1.8 Liter turbo diesel engine. Both these engines are expected to be mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox as standard and this transmission will drive the front wheels of the hatchback.
