As we confirmed you a couple of months ago, about KTM Duke 390 launch in India. It is now being confirmed that KTM's Duke 390 would be launched in India in May 2013 and the deliveries of the bike would start in June 2013.
While the KTM Duke 200 comes shod with locally produced rubbers, the Duke 390 employs extra grippy Metzler tires which are must to lay all the power on the road. The tires are expected to be made available in the KTM stores once you wear out the original set.
The bike is expected to be priced around INR 2 Lac, thanks to the heavy localization which will give other bikes in similar category a run for their money. The 390 Duke shows off the same sporty KTM 'ready to race' DNA as on the 200, being a flamboyant, edgy and aggressive looking machine, with an unashamedly modern air.
All parts have been lightened with excess material shaved off, helping to keep the bike light at an impressive 139kg. The 390 front mudguard is sporty and stubby, while both wheels look really smart in orange. Its powerful headlight sits in a futuristic looking bikini fairing. The near flat handlebar is tapered alloy, while the instruments remain a compact, digital readout that sadly still isn't the most readable in the business.
Stay tuned for more information on KTM Duke 390 while it is launched in India. In the meantime, warch out KTM Duke 390 Video here.
