Honda has for the first time officially confirmed the launch of Amaze diesel sedan in India on 11th April 2013. The first ever diesel sedan for the Indian market will compete against Maruti Suzuki's Dzire and could give strong competition to the model if launched.
The car would be launched with three powertrain options - 1.5L Diesel MT, 1.2L Gasoline MT, 1.2L Gasoline AT. Honda's Amaze is 60mm longer than the Brio hatchback and has a larger wheelbase which makes entry and exit of the vehicle easier as compared to Brio hatchback. The boot space is 400L which is higher when compared to Maruti Suzuki's Dzire.
