Honda amaze's Bajaj by becoming India's second largest two wheeler company




Honda Motorcycles India has recently amazed Bajaj Auto India as the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer now replaces Bajaj to become the second largest two-wheeler seller in the country.

As per the recent figures released by SIAM for year 2012-13, Hero MotoCorp leads the two wheeler space by selling 5,912,538 vehicles whereas Honda has now grabbed the second position by selling 2,606,841 units and Bajaj was manage to sell 2,463,863 units.

In the previous fiscal 2011-12, Bajaj Auto Limited was in second place while Hero MotoCorp were leaders. Bajaj sold 25,66,757 units in that period while HMSI sales totaled 19,96,320 units. This depicts, Bajaj registered a de-growth of 4% in this year whereas Honda registered a growth of 30.5%, spectacular this is, isn't !

Whereas if we consider the export market, Bajaj leads the space with 1,293,231 units and Honda retains the third position at 147,931 units as against Hero's 161,043 units.
