Chevrolet has finally found a car which has hit with the Indian minds and is adding to its numbers. The recently launched Sail sedan registered bookings of 7,000 units in India. The car is selling twice its smaller sibling, Sail U-VA Hatchback in India.
However, the biggest competitor to the car is coming in terms of segment - Honda Amaze which will be launching with 1.5L 100PS engine delivering unrealistic figure of 25.8 Kmpl, making its Honda's "Amazing" vehicle for India. The engine would be highest powered yet most fuel efficient in India.
The only sore point for Amaze when compared to Sail sedan could be in terms of interior spacing, in which GM's Sail sedan would be having an upper hand. But before we comment something, it would be interesting to wait for the next month sales figures as the bookings of Amaze have officially opened now and the launch is due on 11th April 2013.
