Bajaj Kawasaki Ninja 300 launched at INR 3.5 Lac



Kawasaki Ninja 300 has just been launched at a price tag of INR 3.5 Lac, about 50,000 higher than its younger sibling - 250R however the newly launched Ninja 300 offers lot of new goodies than its predecessor.  This price is for the non-ABS version. Kawasaki has no plans of launching the ABS version of the Ninja 300R in the near future. The ABS version of the Ninja 300R is available in many international markets.

The Ninja 300 will be assembled at Bajaj Auto's Chakan plant. The CKD kits are imported from Thailand and this is the same route through which the Ninja 250R was brought into India. The Ninja 300R is powered by a 300cc parallel twin four stroke engine that runs on a DOHC/8 valve layout.

The superike delivers a power output of 39 bhp with an engine capacity of 296cc at 11,000 rpm while peak torque is rated at 27 Nm at 10,000 rpm.

The bike gets dual disc brakes with 290mm at front and 220mm at rear. The motorcycle weights about 170 Kgs and has a ground clearance of 140mm. The Ninja 300R comes with a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters, giving the motorcycle a range of about 350-400 kilometers. The bike is equipped with 17" alloy wheels.

The bike should take less than 7 seconds to cover 0-100Kmph and the top speed could be expected to be around 175Kmph. Bookings are open and deliveries will start on first-cum-first-serve basis. More Images could be viewed here. Images from Live launch could be viewed here.
