New Range Rover Sport teased - to be unveiled on 26th March 2013

The new Range Rover Sport has been teased out by the UK based company. The same would be officially unveiled on 26th March 2013, a day before the opening of New York Motor Show 2013, when it would be driven through Manhattan.

John Edwards, Land Rover’s global brand director, said: “The all-new Range Rover Sport takes the model to another level. It is Land Rover’s most dynamic vehicle yet and showcases the best of British design, engineering and technological innovation.”

The new Sport is based on the same all-aluminium, bonded and riveted PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) platform as the recently laucned Mk4 Range Rover. It will be built alongside the flagship model at the company’s new PLA production line in Solihull, West Midlands.

The new RR Sports is believed to come out of a diet now and is expected to shed some 300 Kgs of weight than the outgoing RR Sport. It is also speculated that the upcoming RR Sport will come with an option of 7 seater which will make it compete with current ongoing SUV's from other leading Luxury car manufacturers.
