As we briefed you earlier, Mahindra's upcoming electric car would be called E2O (E-two-oh) - sounds similar to two molecules of "E" (Electric) and one molecule of "O" (Oxygen), is now officially caught with Bangalore registered number. The Electric car from Mahindra will be powered by a 29KW(39.4bhp) electric motor and will use 48-volt compact lithium ion batteries. The car will be launching on 18th March 2013 and the expected price of this car should be some where around Rs 5.5 Lac
The e2o will be manufactured at Mahindra’s new plant in Bangalore. This plant, according to the company, has a rated annual production capacity of 30,000 cars. The E2O is the first electric hatchback from Mahindra-Reva that is capable of seating four adults.The E2O is expected to have a range of 100 Kilometers per charge while top speed is rated at 103 Kph.
Below are some of features that Mahindra's Reva E20 will be equipped with -
- Remote AC activation - It would enable the Air conditioning to get switched on 20 minutes before journey. Now, you dont need to worry about the hot summers where it sometimes it gets difficult to get inside car while parked outside / open parking.
- Turning on Reserve Battery - This feature would let SMS (sending to central server) based turning on of the Reserve battery.
