Land Rover, the British born SUV giant has launched the Freelander 2 facelift in India. The Freelander2 is assembled at Jaguar-Land Rover’s assembly facility at Chikli, Pune. The changes included in the new car includes revised exteriors, upmarket sound system, revised center console, reverse camera, navigation system etc.
The Freelander 2 SUV has been launched in 2 variants - SE and HSE variants. The SE variant is powered by a 2.2L 148 bhp-420 Nm engine while HSE variant is powered by same 2.2L engine but with 180bhp-420 Nm engine. The SUV comes with a four wheel drive system as standard. Also, the fuel conserving brake energy regeneration system is standard on both variants of the Freelander2. The other features include
The SE variant is priced at Rs 38.67 Lac whereas the HSE variant is priced at Rs 43.92 Lac. As, a SUV of this range, would carry safety features as standard, Freelander 2 includes 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, Traction Control, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Roll Stability Control (RSC) and Engine Drag Control as safety features.

- Passive start system - You dont have to actually insert key to start the car. The key anywhere in car is enough for it to get started.
- Seven airbags in all which includes two curtain, two front, two thorax and a driver knee airbag.
