Dacia Duster reaches 400,000 production milestone

Duster has been into news since the time it launched in India. The Compact SUV has always been in list of top searched cars at Wheel-O-Mania, whether its the modified version of Duster, D Cross version of Duster or it is police who officially received Duster as their patroling vehicle.

The car who changed Renault's fortune in India is now making headlines as it achieves a production milestone of 400,000 vehicles in its Mioveni plant. The SUV will soon be delivered to its French customer. The Dacia Duster has entered production in 2010 and now, almost three years after that, the model has been produced in 400,000 units. This is a huge success for the Romanian car brand, considering the fact that 95 percent of the SUVs made in Mioveni are aimed towards Western Europe. The Dacia Duster has received some important international awards, including the 2011 Car of the Year in Croatia, the 2012 Best 4×4 in France and the 2011 Residual Value Champion in Germany.

Apart from the Romanian plant, Dacia/Renault also make the Duster in São José dos Pinhais in Brazil, Envigado in Colombia, Moscow in Russia and of course, in Chennai, India. View more details on Renault Duster here.
