Bajaj's 4 wheeler RE60 caught testing in Pune - More details inside

So if you guys have thought that Bajaj India has dropped off with its project of launching its 4-wheeler vehicle - RE60, here are we agian with the spy images of Bajaj's RE60.

The four wheeler was first unveiled at 2012 Auto Expo, about an year ago and will be launched in Q2 of 2013.  RE60 is meant as an upgrade to Auto Rickshaws and is not really a vehicle for people aspiring to own their first cars. RE stands for "rear engine" and 60 marks its CO2 emission norms.

This was a white and green colored mule spotted testing in Pune and the images could reveal that this one being the top most variant with alloy wheels, body colored bumpers could be aimed at people aiming at their own four wheeler. However, expect a lower variant also to be launched which would be used as a transport vehicle as an upgrade to three-wheelers, this being a little more on a safer side than exisiting three-wheelers.

Of the limited glimpse, we could spot that despite the engine being placed on the rear side, there is a lock and a liftable/drop down boot for placing stuff inside the vehicle. RE 60 will be powered by a 200cc water cooled DTSi petrol engine capable of producing power of around 20bhp.
