As we reported a couple of days back, about the launch of Audi Q5 facelift on 10th January 2013, here we are with all the details of the car. Audi India has launched the facelift of the Q5 today post a short driving experience program for the media at Mangur Village, Faridabad. Here are more details from the short test drive.
The new Audi Q5 offers the same set of engines; the 2.0 TDI with 177 bhp, a 2.0 TFSI with 211 bhp and the 3.0 TDI with 245 bhp. There have been substantial improvements though; the Q5 now gets an electro-mechanical steering that is more accurate and aids efficiency. Changes have been made to the design, infotainment system, assistance systems and the engine. The fuel efficiency of the two diesel engines and the one petrol engine has increased by 15%.

The Q5 facelift is launched in 6 colors from a Delhi ex-showroom price of 43.16 lac rupees. The facelift for the new model includes cosmetic changes as well as a few modifications to the oily bits. In the front, the grille has been revised and now sports a hexagonal design. There are new headlights and a new bumper with the former getting an LED treatment.
Dimensions of the new Q5 remain same. You can also find the decorative inlays in walnut brown with the new Audi Q5. Other noticeable changes include, refined interior, redesigned steering wheel, controls with slender chrome rings, panels on the center console are styled in high gloss black, MMI navigations now requires just four control keys, skip function has been added on the volume dial.
The Q5 facelift also has minor revisions to the fabrics of the upholstery and a Q range specific steering wheel. Stay tuned for more updates.
