Fiat 500L launched in UK - Images & other details

The Fiat 500L expands the 500 family with a more practical proposition. The cute good looks of the original city car have been traded for something a little less striking, but the 500L offers decent practicality, some good engines and a well styled cabin.

Fiat 500L has been launched in UK markets with its base Gasoline Pop Star priced at £14,990 while the top model is priced at £18,890. Initial inspection of 500L shows that it is longer than current Punto supermini and as wide as a Bravo while interior space is at a premium.

Fiat 500L will be offered in a range of four engine options each of which will be fitted with a Start/Stop function. The base model will possess a 0.9 liter TwinAir petrol engine offering 104 bhp while there will also be 1.4 liter 16 valve petrol offering 94 bhp. Two diesel models will possess a 1.3 liter 16 valve MultiJet diesel engine offering 84 bhp mated to a manual or MTA transmission while the 1.6 liter 16 valve MultiJet diesel engine offers 104 bhp.
