Suzuki Motors have yet again launched a special edition of their popular hatchback, "Swift". The new Suzuki Swift SE takes design hints from the new Swift Sport that was launched recently.
The Suzuki Swift SE gets a roof spoiler and revised tail lamp units with a new design motif. The car sports some tasty 16” mag wheels and silver garnishing on door handles. Fog lamps which were missing in the regular SA spec Swifts find a place on the Swift SE.
The silver theme is carried to the interior as well. The new contoured sport seats are covered in silver upholstery and the chunky steering wheel is leather wrapped and gets silver stitching. Further, the Swift SE gets more brownie points owing to the addition of a multimedia system with satellite navigation and USB connectivity.
Powering the car is the 1.4-litre K14B petrol mill which powers our Ertiga Mini MPV. The motor produces 94 bhp of max power and 130 Nm of peak torque. Maruti has no plans to bring Swift SE to India, however what Maruti Suzuki could do is replace the existing 1.2L motor in Swift by a 1.4L motor and give an extra punch to the best hatchback by sales in India.
