2014 Honda City, Jazz to get a 1.5L Direct Injection Petrol engine

Honda has unveiled the latest of its range of Petrol engines - the new and improved 1.5L Direct Injection engine.

The new 1.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine with direct injection technology was recently revealed by Honda India. This engine will be seen in the 2014 Honda Jazz and Honda city sedan. With this one, the fuel economy will take a toll and go up drastically and the performance will also go much higher on the graph.

Apparently, the 1.5 litre petrol engine will keep the capacity to churn out peak power of 127BHP along with producing peak torque of 154Nm. When compared to the current 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol motor (118BHP-145Nm), the figures are certainly higher and better. Also, this engine will be coupled with an impressive CVT automatic transmission that will finally replace the standard five speed manual gearbox.
