Tata owned Jaguar plans sub XF sedan for India in 2013 - to compete with BMW 3 series, Audi A4, Mercedes C Class and Volvo S60




Tata Motors owned Jaguar was the only Luxury car maker company present in India but did not had an entry level sedan to compete with the likes of BMW 3 series, Audi A4, Mercedes C Class and Volvo S60. All the cars having a starting range of Rs 25-30 Lac bracket are targeting those premium buyers willing to purchase a premium sedan - Toyota Camry, Volkswagen Passat, Honda Accord and Skoda Superb.

The British marque, Jaguar was the only one whose presence was not felt in this segment and was sorely missed up until now. The now Tata Motors owned British marque now unveils their plans to launch a sub XF variant for India in 2013 to compete with the likes of above said entry level Luxury cars.

The car is expected to be launched in the price range of Rs 25-30 Lac bracket and is expected to be powered by a 2.0L Diesel engine which is currently in works of production at Chikli, Pune plant of Jaguar Land Rover. Other details about the specifications are yet to be revealed by the company.
