The September 2012 Car sales figures are out now and the festive mood which was supposed to be seen starting September 2012 has still not been seen. The first 15 days of October 2012 will be less sales, due to 15 days of "Shradhs" and thereafter the Sales are expected to pick up in second half on account of Navratras. Attached is the images showing the model wise Sales of Manufacturers present in Indian market along with a brief snapshot of what we can conclude from last month's sales.

1. Chevrolet maintained its Sales at 7K mark with major contributor being the smallest diesel powered hatchback - Beat in the market with 4.5K sales. Sail is still a wait 'n' watch for us.
2. Fiat is still unable to catch up with the market despite being change in top management, opening of Fiat Caffe and even launching Absolute edition with extra gadgets - Linea bottomed out to only 59 units.
3. Ford maintained its Sales figures of  7-8K mark with Figo being the major contributor - 6K sales mark.
4. Honda is still able to sell close to 3K units of City sedan, despite lack of diesel engine, expect more after City CNG launches soon. Remember - 3K figures is higher than all other sedans except Verna. Brio is now down to 2K mark. May be Brio Automatic should give a boost to revive sales.
5. Hyundai has got it right with Fluidic design across its models. Verna is highest selling sedans in its segment, now even Elantra is highest sold sedan even crossing Corolla, Jetta and Cruze. i20 is still maintaining healthy 7.5K nos. on an average.
6. Mahindra has once again got the right spot by launching Quanto - already 3200 bookings done and sales for last month being 1782. XUV 5OO is the largest selling sub 15 Lac SUV even ousting Duster and lower priced Scorpio.
7. Maruti is now close to its 90K sales mark with start of production at Manesar facility. however, the major boost came from Alto and WagonR which have only Petrol models and no diesel. Remember - Price hike of Rs 5 in Diesel spurred the petrol vehicles demand. Ertiga too had its brightest month with crossing 7K sales.

9. Skoda has only Rapid in their garage which is doing double digits with 1433 sales for Rapid.
10. Tata is back to no.4, while M&M crossed it again this month. Seems like Karl Slym has a lot to do for Tata now.
11. For Toyota, its only Innova and Fortuner which have shown growth. Etios and Liva has shown de growth - sales poorly affected.
12. VW sales have increased after joining of Mr.Arvind Saxena. seems like including new features in cars have given a boost to its Sales. Vento has now crossed its sibling Rapid with 1905 units sold in September.
13. Renault is still in process of "Dusting" out its competitor sedans and SUV's in the market with a sales figure of 4211 of Duster for September. Scala however, is still one third than Sunny with only 688 units sold.
