Official - Tata Motors to launch Manza Club sedan on 16th October 2012

Tata Motors seems to have taken up the challenge now. After Mahindra & Mahindra overtook the passenger vehicles sales of Tata Motors continuously for 3 months now, the Indian car maker is doing lot of things to change the game back into its court now. Since, Tata  Motors appointed Mr. Karl Slym, ex-GM India, there is much seen around for the company.

The car maker recently launched Tata Indica eV2 with price starting from Rs 4.01 Lac and the much awaited launch for SUV lovers, Tata Safari Storme which is just round the corner, on 17th and 18th October 2012 with phase launch across India. The dealers have already started accepting the bookings of this car, by accepting Rs 100,000 Lac.

If we come on to Tata Nano, which was launched with an intention to generate huge volumes for Tata Motors, the car is still selling at around 6000 units per month, however the company is now gearing up for CNG Nano launch in December 2012 or January 2013 and also Diesel Nano launch in April 2013. Something, unique that Tata Motors did was to open up an online merchandise store of Tata Nano by collaborating with ebay with the intention of first car to be sold through an online portal.

There are also test rounds going of upcoming Tata Indica Vista with a more powerful 90 bhp engine - "S Power" with Dashboard shared with Tata Manza. Now, the latest buzz is that an upgraded version of Manza - Tata Manza Club sedan will be launched in India with the launch date on 16th October 2012.

The car gets a facelift mainly on the interiors, in terms of new features and finish levels. The new alloy wheel design is another change on the facelifted Manza. On the outside, the Manza Club class remains pretty much the same car as the current model expect for the twin tone paint finish for the roof. On the inside, the Manza gets a new touch screen infotainment system, leather seats and automatic climate control on the top end variant.

There are also news that the variants name which are currently as the Aura and Elan will be replaced by more conventional names like the LS, LX, VX, EX and EXL. The biggest change in the Manza Club Class sedan is the addition of a new diesel engine, in the form of the fixed geometry turbocharger equipped 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet diesel engine. This engine will produce a peak power of 75 Bhp and a peak torque of 190 Nm.

Stay tuned for more information on the launch date - 16th October 2012.
