Nissan launches the all new Latio aka Sunny in Japan

Nissan has already sold more than 500,000 units of its popular sedan - called by several names across the world - Versa, Almera, Sunny and now Latio in Japan. The japan based car maker had launched this car across all parts of the world but not in its home town Japan, however, Nissan recently launched this sedan by name Latio in Japan.

The car maker aims to sell 1,200 units of Latio in Japan every month. The car will be powered by HR12DE engine, which is a 1.2L 3 cylinder engine which delivers 77 bhp of power but delivers an amazingly good 22.6 Kmpl of fuel efficiency as per the Japanese fuel test beds.

The car would be installed with start-stop system in all the variant, some thing which is available only on top end variants for the Indian market.

The car is launched at a Price range of 1,388,100 yen (9.21 Lac) to 1,698,900 yen (11.28 Lac).  The HR12DE engine provides excellent acceleration performance in city driving, delivering user-friendly operation in everyday use. Also contributing to the improved fuel efficiency is a vehicle weight reduction of about 70kg (compared to the previous model) and adoption of a new highly aerodynamic body shape.
