Chevrolet Sail U-VA would be launched in India on 02nd November 2012 as earlier expected launch date on 25th October 2012. Chevrolet India has changed the launch date as the company knew during this festive season the customers always looked at the festival discounts and freebies more and this decided the purchasing decision of a person in India.
The Sail U-VA will be the first model in India to come out of the GM-SAIC joint venture followed by Enjoy MPV by end of December. The Sail sedan will be launched in 2013 after studying the demand of Sail U-VA.
The Sail U-VA would be launched in two engine variants - 1.2L petrol engine delivering 85 bhp and other 1.3L diesel engine delivering 77 bhp. The hatchback will be available in 4 variants they are PS, LS, LT and LT (O). The top end variant will have alloy wheels, ABS and airbags.
