Yamaha Ray launched at Rs 46,000 - Images inside

Yamaha has launched the Ray scooter in the Indian market at a starting price of 46,000 ex-showroom Delhi. Yamaha chose Hyderabad, the city of Nizams to launch its first product in the scooter segment.

The Ray was first displayed at the 2012 Auto Expo and the company hinted at aggressive pricing. The scooter is powered by a 113cc engine mated to a CVT, automatic transmission which develops 7.1PS at 7500rpm and 8.1Nm of torque. The scooter does 0-60 kmph in just 12 seconds and the company claims the Ray will deliver fuel efficiency of 62.1kmpl.
