Maruti Suzuki to launch new Alto / M800 on 16th October 2012

Maruti Suzuki India is now officially out with the launch date of their newly developed and yet to be launched New Alto / M800. The car will be powered by a 3 cylinder 800 cc gasoline engine with an option of CNG. These are first ever clear images of the New Maruti Suzuki Alto / Maruti 800. The images have been spied in China however we expect the similar models to be launched in India this Diwali. This Chinese version is the 1.0L 67 bhp engine however the Indian version is expected to have 0.8L engine with 45 bhp.

The new car is expected to have power windows too - just front two as you could see it from the images and the car would also have a driver airbag, seems like Maruti has studied the market well before launching the new model - Hyundai Eon too comes with a driver side airbag.

It is very good to see that Maruti, inspite of having smallest car in its portfolio or better to be said the entry level car has maintained the safety features with Airbags, Maruti has yet again a winner in its hands. Meanwhile, it is also heard that Maruti is also working on a small 800cc diesel engine and will be launched in 2015.
