Suzuki showcased WagonR ENE-Charge with Mild hybrid system

Suzuki in Japan in order to find ways to combat the sky rocketing fuel prices have showcased a patented "ENE-Charge" technology in their WagonR model.

ENE-CHARGE is a hybrid system which features a small petrol engine mated to an electric motor with a lithium-ion battery pack. Regenerative braking generates some power to help the petrol engine and runs electrical equipments of the car. Adding to that, the hybrid Wagon-R is bundled with an energy-saving air conditioning system called “ECO-COOL.

The Wagon R with ENE-CHARGE and ECO-COOL is scheduled to go on sale in Japan this September. Suzuki said that it expects the car to return up to 28.8km/lt in Japan's JC08 driving cycle (67.8mpg US, 3.5lt/100km or 81.4mpg UK)
