Fresh trouble at Maruti Suzuki - Now Gurgaon Union plans to protest against sacked workers

The company came out with the discussion of sacking 500 permanent workers at Maruti Suzuki and planned to start the production on 21st August 2012, however there stars seem to be all wrong for Maruti Suzuki as of now.

The workers union at Maruti's Gurgaon plant Maruti Udyog Kamgar Union (MUKU) have planned to conduct a rally along with other unions in Manesar belt in protest of sacked 500 permanent workers and demand for the reinstatement of these workers.

"We are opposed to the sacking of workers at the Manesar plant. This was not the right thing," MUKU general secretary Kuldeep Jhangu said.

He further said MUKU, along with unions from other firms in the Gurgaon-Manesar industrial belt, is organising a protest rally this afternoon at Gurgaon against the sacking of the Manesar workers, apart from making other demands.

However, the Gurgaon plant union has declined to comment any thing straightforward whether what would be their next action, whether the strike would be conducted by them in case the Maruti Suzuki officials do not plan to reinstate the sacked workers. He just mentioned, the members of union will decide the further course of action.
