Audi to build a new 2014 Audi A4 with lighter body and more fuel efficient - details emerge

Audi largest selling model especially in the emerging markets - A4 will get a  tweak in 2014 wherein the car will be made of special material making it light weight than the current version by almost 100 Kgs.

Audi has promised that the new A4 will benefit from a better performance, handling, economy and emissions making it an all round package. Also, a good news for all the petroheads, the new generation A4 will derive its design from Audi A6. Audi is also planning its first plug-in hybrid system on the new A4. It will feature two electric motors delivering a combined 136bhp to power the rear wheels. The new hybrid system will allow the new A4 to travel 20 miles of silent e-running around town in rear-wheel drive mode. It will also feature the new e-Quattro system which will part ways with the the mechanical diff and propshafts in favor of an electrically driven rear axle.

The new Audi A4 will be powered by both petrol and diesel motors wherein one would be 2.0L TSI with 225 bhp and the other one 2.0L TDI 197 bhp. Both the variant will be complied with Euro 6 norms.
