Hyundai working on Santa Fe Fluidic - Images

It is no secret, that the Hyundai Santa Fe is the only vehicle in the entire Hyundai line-up which has not received the Fluidic styling yet. Recently Hyundai facelifted the i20 with the Fluidic sculpture, leaving the Santa Fe as the sole Fluidic-less car from the Korean automaker. But now Hyundai has revealed renderings of the 2013 Santa Fe, terming is as Storm Edge and calling it an evolution of the Fluidic styling. This Santa Fe facelift will be officially unveiled to the world at the upcoming New York Auto Show in April 2012.

While Hyundai plans to introduce new powertrains for international markets, the company will continue to offer the same 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel monster, which produces 197 PS of power and an insane 421 Nm of torque. However we can expect a downward revision in prices as Hyundai plans to locally assemble the Santa Fe at its Chennai facility, saving on crucial import duty which CBU vehicles attract. Currently Hyundai offers the Santa Fe with 7-seats and in three variants in India and the company will continue to do so with the introduction of the facelifted model.
