Ford EcoSport which will be launched in early August has already grabbed attention of many and has already been booked by 1300 persons in Brazil. Meanwhile, Ford will launch this product in early 2013.
Ford is expecting 2500 bookings via the website till the month of September. The booking amount is kept minimum at 5000 Brazilian Real ( 1.36 lakhs in INR). Ford Brazil also claims that all the marketing activities that Ford is carrying out for the EcoSport has attracted many consumers to Ford showrooms in Brazil.
The Renault's Duster has already grabbed more than 6,000 bookings in India and has got the first mover advantage, however there are many as die hard Ford fans who have been waiting for this and have let the Duster launch. Afterall this is the era of Compact SUV's now.
