Bookings for Kawasaki Ninja 650R starts from 15th July 2012

The wait is over, well almost. Bajaj Auto will launch the Kawasaki Ninja 650R within a months time and the company’s dealers (KTM showrooms) will start taking bookings for this 650cc monster starting from the 15th of July, 2012.

Its been an year now when the bookings of Ninja 650R have been closed, reason - less superbikes being allocated for sale in India.  Our source also confirms that this time around bookings will not be closed and the Kawasaki Ninja 650R will be available throughout the year. The Ninja 650R will be followed by a naked 650-750cc bike from Kawasaki, but nothing is confirmed as yet. Also known as the ER-6F, the 2012 model year Ninja 650R gets an updated front fascia, with slight modifications to the front fairing, fuel tank, seats and the tail section. The changes are not drastic but are significant in their own way, making the Ninja 650R that much better.

The 2012 Ninja 650R, that will come to us, will sport the revised front end and updated tail section. Powering the 2-12 Ninja 650R is the same 649cc, 72 BHP parallel twin that has been now tweaked for better response in low and mid range. The 2012 model of the 650R that we get also sports an all new twin-spar perimeter frame that should make the bike one step ahead of previous model in terms of handling prowess. As in the international markets, safely expect the upgraded Ninja 650R to come with a small price increase over the last model.
