Renault Nissan Automotive India private limited had given a time frame of around June-July 2012, tentatively for the launch of its much awaited SUV, Duster in India. The car maker has now confirmed that the car would be launched in India on 04th July 2012.
The India-bound Duster is slightly different from the one that was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The differences include in the front bumper and the side mirrors, which get a black tint on lower sides -both front bumper as well as mirrors. Headlights, grille and alloys are the same as compared to those shown during Auto Expo 2012.
The company did not divulged much details on the pricing however said it would be close to one of the biggest selling and low cost SUV in India, we have earlier heard the pricing could compete with Mahindra Scorpio and could give it a huge competition. The petrol RxE variant is expected to be launched at Rs 7.25 Lakh approximately. Diesel RxE could be priced at Rs 8.10 Lakh, Diesel RxL could be Rs 9.25 Lakh and Diesel RxZ could be priced at Rs 10.9 Lakh. However, the exact pricing of the car would be detailed during its launch.
