More Images and details emerge for Ford EcoSport

Ford EcoSport was one of the most liked vehicles among the audience at 2012 Auto Expo. Ford India has planned early 2013 for its launch in India. The compact SUV market is already heated up in India and with Renault Duster, Mahindra Compact Xylo and Ford EcoSport launches awaited, there seems challenging times for the car makers ahead despite launching one of the best models suited for Indian mindset. Price will be biggest thing to look for in this segment.

Few more details emerge out for EcoSport, from a chinese website. The details emerged out this time focus on interiors of the car and have given a clear glimpse of the car from inside. You can see the Ford power button in front which would be a start stop button in Indian language. The front screen in middle of the dashboard also has blue lit lights which improve the looks of the car and gives useful information display like temperature, speed in digital units, fuel economy and much more.

If you can see clearly, the MID in between dashboard shows a fuel efficiency of 15 kmph, which we hope if out of the 1.0L ecoboost engine and not 1.5L diesel engine, other wise this might be a negative thing for car buyers in India. The space at the rear row seems to be ok, well enough for two adults or three kids. The rear row also has AC vents at back which have become a necessity even in this segment too. Skoda Rapid introduced it in this segment. However, the rear seat lacks the arm rest.

The rear seat has three protruding head rests which might cause trouble for the driver while parking the car, unless the car has parking sensors at rear. Also, the small bulge out of rear window of the spare wheel would cause trouble in parking the car.

Note: These are our personal opinion based on the images as seen on the chinese website  . There might be some changes in the Indian model which is expected to be revealed by the car maker in early 2013.
