Maruti Suzuki car Sales dips again in May 2012, by 5 percent. Sales for year till May also down

Maruti Suzuki is facing one of the worst time since the car maker has entered the Indian market in 1983. The top officials at Maruti Suzuki and even at Suzuki Motors headquarters in Japan, would be feeling the heat and would have been really worried for India, the second fastest growing region in Car Sales. The region at present is not to be missed/ignored by any car maker, leave apart Maruti Suzuki which is already the leader in India region since long.

The domestic Passenger car sales dropped to 89K mark in May 2012 compared to 93K for same period last year. To our shock, exports also dropped by 11% to 9K units in May 2012 from 10.5K units registered in May 2011. Total sales dropped by 5% to 98K mark in May 2012 when compared to a figure of 1.04K in May 2011.
