Chevrolet Captiva Facelift 2012 Launched in India : Ex-Showroom Price at Rs 18.74 Lac



General Motors have finally launched the much awaited SUV Chevrolet Captiva in an all new avatar in India. The generation next Chevrolet Captiva has come out in three variants, which will replace the current line up.

About Chevrolet Captiva Engine:
The main improvisation in the engine department of Chevrolet Captiva will be the addition of diesel variant, As of ow, all the variants of Captiva in India are driven by 2.0 litre VCDi I-4 engine. The facelift version is expected to have a diesel variant powered by a 2.2 litre turbocharged diesel engine.

The diesel engine will be available in two variants, one with attached turbocharger and the other without it. The turbocharged engine will deliver a peak power of 184 bhp with 400 Nm peak torque, while the other is expected to deliver 163 bhp of peak power and 350 Nm of maximum torque.

Moreover, the Chevrolet Captiva Facelift India will have cabin insulation which reduces the vibration and lessens engine noise.

Chevrolet Captiva Facelift 2012 interiors and exteriors:

The cosmetic changes in the interiors are a few advanced features like brand new audio system with Aux-in, USB-port and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, the new Chevrolet Captiva Facelift 2012 will have a two one-litre cup holder and a new electric park brake replacing the old handbrake. The are a few other stylish alterations to the interiors like new upholstery fabric with top class finish which enhances the interior look.

The very first look at the exteriors of Chevrolet Captiva facelift resembles that of the Mitsubishi Outlander, but a closer look will reveal the underlying difference. The Captiva facelift 2012 comes with bold Headlights, widespread honeycomb mesh split by the Chevrolet logo in the center.
