Audi India unwrapped the much awaited Audi Q3 on the 6th of June. Wasting no time, the company has engaged into a marketing program looking for customers in every nook and corner of this country. The Ingolstadt giant is hosting parties for young people considered as the would-be customer. The company has also released a catchy song to emphasize the target audience of the model.
Further to an aggressive marketing campaign targeting the young and the affluent, the Q3 has bagged over 400 bookings within 5 days of its launch! Achieving a response like this for a vehicle that is positioned on the wrong side of INR 25 lakhs price range is no easy task and as we had predicted, Audi Q3 might really turn out to be a game changer for Audi India and BMW better beware. It may be noted that as we had earlier reported, bookings are available only for the first 500 units of the new car and this latest news means that Audi will surely have to work overtime to meet the huge demand for this new vehicle. While the Audi q3 is not positioned bang on in the BMW X1 territory, it is for sure that the latest from Audi will have a negative impact on the Bimmer. However, it remains to be seen if the BMW X1, which currently does anything between 500-800 units per month, will face a lot of heat from the new Audi.
