2012 Honda CBR 150R launched in India at INR 1.16 Lac

Honda has launched the smaller CBR 150R in the Indian auto market at Rs 1,16,385 (ex-showroom) for the Standard and Rs. 1,17,385 (ex-showroom) for the Deluxe variant. CBR 150R has new age graphics, dual-layered full body cowling, which reportedly improves aerodynamics and performance of the bike. The CBR 150R also sports a Y-shaped headlamp, short pentagonal muffler and digital meter.

he motorcycle comes powered by a DOHC 150cc engine which produces peak power of 13.11 Kw (17.6 BHP) @ 10,500 RPM and peak torque of 12.66 Nm @ 8500rpm. Adding to the sports performance, CBR 150R has twin tubular frame which increases the stability of the bike, liquid cooling and PGM-FI increases the efficiency of the engine giving maximum output with minimum effort.

The Japanese bike manufacturer will be ready to roll out the first batch consisting approximately 750 bike units from their Manesar plant by the end of March 2012. The CBR150R will go head to head competing with the Yamaha R15 2.0 and the latter finally has direct competition in the game. We can’t wait to hear the results ourselves

CBR 150R will be available in 2 variants– Standard and Deluxe. The Standard variant will be available in 2 shades – Black with Pearl Sunbeam White and Sports Red with Pearl Sunbeam White. The Deluxe model (with special sporty graphics) shall be available in Black with Candy Palm Green & Vibrant Orange with Pearl Sunbeam White colour.

The new CBR 150R will be available at all Honda Exclusive Authorised dealerships at the end of March, 2012 for which the bookings has already started.
