General Motors has recently bagged the title of World's no. 1 car maker leaving behind Toyota and Volkswagen. The car maker had few years ago declared bankruptcy and had now bagged title of world's largest car maker, showing its strength and commitment for the the market.
The car maker has big plans for the Indian market too. The latest to be unveiled now is a SUV, Chevrolet Trailblazer which will compete with Toyota's Fortuner, Mitsubishi's Outlander, Honda's CRV and Renault's Koleos. As per our internal sources, the car maker has confirmed plans for launching this car in India and even several rounds of discussion have happened already. Of those sessions, we received some images of the conference which are also shown here.
The Trailblazer SUV is expected to be priced at Rs 17 lakhs, which lesser that the Captiva. Chevrolet's Trailblazer betters the Captiva in the specifications and offerings too. Trailblazer is powered by a 2.8 Liter Duramax diesel engine which generates 180 Bhp of peak power and 480 Nm of peak torque.
Trailblazer is bigger in size than the Captiva and can easily accommodate seven adults. While considering the car's arrival to India, the SUV is expected to be brought to India in completely knocked down units from Thailand, the major plant which supplies the Trailblazer for exports.
