Hyundai India has launched the LPG variant of its recently launched small car for the Indian market. Hyundai has launched 3 variants of the LPG version of the Eon Hatchback. The Eon LPG will be a dual fuel car, which means that it will support both LPG as well as petrol as fuel options. The driver will be able to switch between LPG and petrol fuel options seamlessly, through a dashboard mounted switch. Each of the Eon LPG’s 3 variants will be pricier than the respective petrol variants by about INR 27,000.

The three variants available are :
- The D-Lite+ is the base model of the LPG powered Eon and comes with air-conditioning, gear shift indicator, body coloured bumpers and power steering as standard equipment.
- The Era+ has front power windows and central locking in addition to the features found on the D-Lite+
- The Magna+ has 2-Din audio system with USB and Aux in addition to the features found on the Era+
The LPG tank has a capacity of 34 liter and this, in addition to the petrol tank’s capacity of 32 liters. The special ‘Toroidal’ tank gives larger boot space than conventional LPG-fitted models. The Eon runs over 1,200 kilometres on a full tank of LPG and petrol. Hyundai has also unveiled the new TV Commercial which focuses on the great Mileage of the car for the duel conscious Indian market.
