Honda Launched Dio/Vision 110 Scooter And Honda Dream Yuga 110 Motorcycle - Auto Expo 2012

After launching the sporty CBR 150R, geared at the enthusiasts, Honda has unleashed something for the mass market too with the new Dio scooter and the Deram Yuga motorcycle.

The Dio was one of the first scooters the bring more than just utility to the scooter market with its fixed headlamp, low-slung stance and sharp design, but lately it seemed like Honda neglected the Activa’s sporty looking sibling. The Activa got a complete revamp recently and now it’s the Dio’s turn. It gets the same 110 cc engine that powers the Activa which gives it a 10% increase in power, which now stands at a healthy 9 bhp. The engine itself has seen some changes with regards to the valvetrain and ancillaries to reduce emissions and in the process also increase the fuel economy. On the outside, the changes you’ll notice are the improved legroom at the front, tube-less tyres (a segment first!) and the Combi Brake system. The Combi Brake system applies both the front and rear brakes depending on traction conditions and braking force to bring the scooter to a quick and safe stop.
