Fiat upgrades Linea sedan and Grande Punto hatchhback : Test drive/Review

Fiat as promised has launched the upgrades of its popular Linea Sedan and Grande Punto hatchback. There are just some minor tweaks in the upgraded versions of both the cars. It includes increased ground clearance and a new air conditioner, as there were many complaints from the customers that the AC of the car does not works under temperature more than 35 degree Celsius.

The base-variant Punto, the Active, now gets an audio system along with central locking along with front power windows making it the only premium hatchback with such rich content in the entry version. However, the Linea entry level car gets the Audio system. The middle versions of two cars gets Auto AC, ABS with EBD, alloy wheels, airbags and ‘Blue and Me’ infotainment system. Fiat Linea new version gets rain sensors and auto switch on/off head lamps.

A new paint shade called Oceanic Blue has also been added to both Linea and Grande Punto models. Also, Fiat has planned to open 20-25 Caffe in India, with the first being launched in Janpath, New Delhi on 06th January 2012.

The company also claims the improved fuel efficiency.
