The cops from Delhi police have started the probe for catching the fake-ticket racketeers who sold fake tickets during the World's second largest Automotive fair, Auto Expo. The cops expect that the total fake tickets sold would have been worth Rs 1 Crore.
We had inputs about the fake tickets and accordingly laid a trap. However, we were not successful in nabbing anyone on Wednesday but we will continue to work on the information we have," said the officer. Meanwhile, even as the expo ended on Wednesday, the organizers were already mulling over whether to move the next edition of the biennial trade show from Pragati Maidan and to a more spacious 'world-class' location so that the expo could be touted as the largest in the world. Organizers of the expo are also debating whether to host the event on February 5-12, 2014. Traditionally, the auto expo has been held in the first week of January.
