Chinese Automobile giant Geely enters Italian market

Chinese Automotive Giant, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group better known as Geely is reported to enter the Italian market through its Online Sales portal . The company will first introduce Emgrand EC7 model in the Italian market.

Sources also told Gianluca Gregis will be appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Geely Italy. The Italian subsidiary will be headquartered in Borgomanero Novara.

The company plans to sell 500-1000 models in Italy in the first year and plans to establish over 300 service centers and dealers in the Italian market.

The European versions of the Emgrand EC7 will include a midsize four-door hatchback model and EC7-RV, a five-door hatchback variant, offering 1.5-liter and 1.8-liter gasoline-powered options. The firm is also considering introducing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)-powered models in the future. The Emgrand EC7will be priced at around $15,322.
