Chevrolet Sail hatchback was the one being showcased at the recently held Auto Expo. Also, we had earlier showcased you the spy images of the Chevrolet hatchback. This time again the spy images have arrived but its not the regular hatchback, ofcourse that has been unveiled at Auto Expo. This time the car which was caught testing was a sedan version of the Chevrolet Sail Seems like Chevrolet is eager enough to gain the market share and is moving on a fast track. The images were spotted by our Goaonwheels friends.
The petrol motor is expected to be a 1.4 liter S-TEC unit while the diesel engine could be a VGT version of the 1.3 liter Multijet that GM co-developed with Fiat. The diesel engine is a must requirement for the entry into the sedan segment of the Indian market, remember what happened to Honda City due to lack of the diesel engine. However, we also suggest General Motors India to get in place a Petrol-CNG version of Sail sedan too and if possible in Chevrolet Sail hatchback too.
While the Sail hacthback will be launched in India during this year, but there could be no words possible on the launch of Chevrolet sail sedan version in India.
