Skoda Vision D Concept : Images & Video

Skoda had earlier previewed its future design direction with this new concept, dubbed Vision D, on the eve of the Geneva motor show.

he new Octavia (Laura for Indian market)-sized concept is an evolution of Skoda's current design language rather than a revolution, its clean exterior looks; which includes an enlarged gloss-finished front grille and widened lower air intake, are borrowed from parent firm Volkswagen. A slimmer design for the front headlights also features, as does a more distinctive design for the C-pillars and an integrated taligate.

The Skoda Vision D Concept is one attractive ride, but we still expect, the Czech based automaker will probably reveal a different production version as the car maker has been doing in the past, which will cut down some manufacturing costs and the final product won’t look anything like the Vision D. The mid-size concept made by Skoda will be the basis of the third generation of the Octavia model, which will have a near-production debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, 2012, and it will be followed by the production version later that year, with a final market launch set for sometime in 2013.

In the meanwhile, enjoy watching the video
