George Harrison's Aston Martin Sells for £350,000

Legendary lead guitarist of The Beatles, George Harrison, whose musical skills promise to sweep the audience off their feet has now surprised the Coys auction house, who sold a 1965 Aston Martin DB5 formerly owned by Harrison.

The buyer paid an incredible £350,000 (approximately Rs. 2.8 crore). This was a good £150,000 (approximately Rs. 1.2 crore) above the estimated price

The DB5/1896/R was first supplied Jan. 1, 1965, through Brydor Cars of Brooklands in Surrey to the famous Beatle and generated huge interest when it was put up for sale at the Coya True Greats Auction held at the Royal Horticultural Halls in Westminster

The winning bid was made by an anonymous Beatles and Aston Martin fan from Houston in Texas who said: “George Harrison would be amazed about all the money his car is going to raise for Christian causes”.
