2012 Refreshed Honda City sedan launched, with Corporate variant priced at Rs 6.99 Lakhs




The sixth generation of the Honda City Sedan has finally arrived in the Indian landscape. An additional variant named 'Corporate' has been added along with the other existing E, S and V models with a price tag of Rs 6.99 lakh. The V trim version will be available in automatic transmission as well with an added trim of V(sunroof). The Honda City will be available in six colors namely Carnelian Red Pearl, Sparkling Brown Metallic, Urban Titanium Metallic, Bold Beige Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Taffeta White.

The variants along with the prices of the new Honda City are :

Corporate- 6.99 lakhs
E- 7.70 lakhsS- 8.20 lakhs
V manual transmission- 8.70 lakhs
V automatic transmission- 9.42 lakhs
V(sunroof) manual transmission- 9.50 lakhs
V(sunroof) automatic transmission- 10.22 lakhs

Other features of the newly launched City includes :

* New chrome front grille
* New front and rear bumpers
* New taillights
* New 10 spoke Alloy Wheel design
* Ground clearance increases by 5 mm to 165 mm.
* Blue backlight on instrumentation console
* The center console sees a mild refresh
* Chrome tipped AC vents
* Optional sunroof for the top end V manual and automatic variants
* Cruise control
* Two new colors: Carnelian Red Pearl and Sparkling Brown Metallic

The sixth generation City will house a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder VTEC petrol engine with power output of 118.4PS@6600 rpm and max torque of 145Nm@4800 rpm. The engine will be mated to either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control and torque converter. The average fuel economy is reported to be 16.8kmpl. It will come equipped with an electrical power steering, ventilated disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The ground clearance has also been increased to 165mm from 160mm.
