Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) today launched the LPG variant of its hot selling hatchback i10. The car will be available in two of its models, Magna and Era both with 1.1 Liter engine.

Hyundai i10 Era LPG : 4.16 Lac
Hyundai i10 Magna LPG : 4.30 Lac

The company is charging approximately 27,000 extra for the LPG variants as compared to the regular petrol variants, which is worth having when compared to petrol variants. Along with that, Hyundai LPG variants are equipped with Manual Shift Indicator (MSI) with which you get an indication when to shift the gears for appropriate mileage. The company claims an improved mileage for its LPG variants. Also, shifting from LPG to Petrol and vice versa is also an easy affair by just press of a button.

Hyundai i10 LPG variant is greener than the petrol variant, thus Hyundai has categorized them under their 'Blue Drive' range of cars. Hyundai Blue Drive range of cars have better fuel efficiency and are eco friendly.

The Blue drive range of cars comes with AMS – Alternator Management System. Thanks to AMS, battery life is increased and so is mileage. Gasoline version's top speed reaches 160 km / h and LPG version is slightly slower than the gasoline version. But the benefits with lower operating costs to compensate for less than maximum performance.

The car is equipped with a 34 liter LPG tank as a factory fitted option along with a 35 liter petrol tank. Bookings for the car opens today with deliveries slated to happen in the next few weeks. So, that is latest fuel sipper from Hyundai India, the Hyundai i10 LPG, which Hyundai India hopes will make up for the lack of a diesel engine in the Hyundai i10′s model line up.
